Program Elements - Food Pyramid

At the Food Group to Encourage Climbing Pyramid, students are challenged to scale to the top while learning about the food groups children and teens most often skip - dairy, fruits, vegetables, and whole grains. When they reach the top, students ring the bell and shout out “The Big Four” food groups with help from their piers below. (This is a safe activity that uses a “top rope system” where participant is secured in a safety harness and climbs with the assistance of a belayer.)
